Ambjörn Elder has performed in the USA, France, and the UK. In New York he performed with Gorilla Rep, Impact Theater, and THM Productions: Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Guildenstern in Hamlet, and various roles in Macbeth.
In London he originated roles with Ovation Theatres and SubVerse, among other companies: John Keats in The Last Nightingale by Diana Lefas; Greg in Acting Terror and the Sergeant in subFarce by Adrian Page; Roberts in Irish Flames by John Waller. In a more classical mode: Snake in School for Scandal and Friar Francis in Much Ado About Nothing.
In Lyon, he played The Doctor in J’ai pris mes jambes à mon corps by Mélodie Etxeandia.
Ambjörn trained at Yale University, the National Theatre Institute, Shakespeare and Company, and LAMDA.
In 2008, The Boy Who Spoke MooMoo, a short film he created with Pooja Pottemkulam, won second prize at the Commonwealth Vision awards. Directing projects include On the Beach by Steve Waters, and his first play, Vagabonde des mers, which premiered in 2015. He regularly organizes playreadings in French and English.
