Shelley Brown studied acting at SUNY Albany and Tufts University and has performed with theater companies throughout the Boston area for more than 25 years. As a member of the AIR program, she participated in the 2007 Playwrights Platform festival, playing the role of Sarah in Regina Eliot-Ramsey’s A Perfect Stranger. Other recent roles include Nurse (The Flu Season, Whistler in the Dark Theater); Rose (Enchanted April, Arlington Friends), Arkadina (The Sea Gull, TheatreZone), Bernarda Alba (The House of Bernarda Alba, TheaterZone), Mrs. Webb (Our Town, Boston Theater Works), Lady Eastlake (The Countess, Nora Theater), Bananas (House of Blue Leaves, Vokes). As a member of the ensemble in SpeakEasy’s production of The Women (2006), Shelley won an Irne award. She was previously nominated for an IRNE for her performance as Bessie in Marvin’s Room (Theater Cooperative).
