K. M. Sorenson

K. M. Sorenson, a native of Lowell, Massachusetts, has had plays produced across the United States, including Gallery Players, Actors Studio of Newburyport, Boston Theater Marathon, Image Theater, Arlington Friends of the Drama, Footlight Club, Playwrights’ Platform, Centastage, Firehouse Center for the Arts, ACME Theatre Productions, Shelterbelt Theater, Towne Street Theater, Lakeshore Players, Astor Street Opera Company, and Dubuque Fine Arts Players.

Sorenson’s play Panopticon was a finalist in the Ivoryton Playhouse’s Women Playwrights’ Initiative for 2018. In addition, Cape House, was a finalist in the Firehouse Center for the Arts 2018 New Works Festival and a semi-finalist in the Colonial Players’ 2017 Promising Playwright Contest, while Tapped Out was a semifinalist in the 2013 Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference and was produced by Image Theater in November 2014.

Sorenson has been the moderator of Merrimack Valley Playwrights (mvplaywrights.com) since 2013.
