How to Join

Playwrights’ Platform is a non-profit, Boston-area cooperative of playwrights, directors, and resident
actors.

NOTE: Playwrights Platform is currently seeking Board Members, including Executive Board Secretary to help schedule readings and events and also members of the Advisory Board.  Board Members get the opportunity to help shape the organization.

To become a playwright (or screenwriter) member of Playwrights Platform and have your work read, you must meet these requirements:

  • Attend at least two meetings for readings other than your own.
  • Be based in New England, with the exception of former Playwrights’ Platform members who maintain a connection to New England.
  • Pay dues (waived through the end of the “season,” October 2026).

If you are interested in participating in Playwrights’ Platform, send email to the address below with the following information:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Your desired  role or roles in the group (playwright, screen writer, director, actor, or Board Member).
  • General location (for example, Boston, North shore, Western Mass, etc.).
  • Experience level (for example, new writer, mid-career, etc.)
  • What you hope to achieve from your participation (for example, prepare play for production, improve acting skills, etc.)
