Playwrights’ Platform is based in the Boston area. Membership provides these benefits:
- Hear your work performed by actors at regularly-scheduled meetings.
- Obtain thoughtful critiques of your work.
- Have access to the Actors in Residence program.
- Submit to the yearly Playwrights’ Platform new works Festival.
- Meet and network with members of the local theater scene.
PLEASE NOTE: TO BECOME A MEMBER, YOU MUST RESIDE IN NEW ENGLAND OR HAVE SPECIAL PERMISSION TO JOIN PLAYWRIGHTS’ PLATFORM. DO NOT SIMPLY SEND A CHECK. USE THE CONTACT FORM FOR QUESTIONS.
Playwrights’ Platform has been forced to move online for readings – although we hope to resume some in-person readings in 2022 – so, the 2021-22 membership fee is $25. However, if you are currently in a degree program or in high school, the membership fee is $12.
Membership is more than just paying dues. While attendance (physical or virtual) at every meeting is not expected, members should participate by attending some readings (other than their own) and supporting their fellow writers and actors.
To join Playwrights’ Platform, mail a check payable to Playwrights’ Platform to the Treasurer:
