Margaret Gooch joined the Playwrights’ Platform in October, 2015. She was pleased to have her play “A Promising Start” chosen for production at Platform’s 45^th Festival and included in the accompanying anthology, 2107, also pleased that the Cambridge Center for Adult Education included another, “The Ws,” in its November, 2017, “Evening of New Play Readings.”  Self-publication of a couple of screenplay-formatted novellas led her to investigate what script writing involves, with attendance at a theatrical evening’s performance of new ten-minute plays focusing her attention on stage plays. Some years of graduate literary study and teaching, mainly in North Carolina and Virginia, preceded her career as a reference librarian at Tufts University, and an exploration of opportunities to share her interest in playwriting, along with involvement in programs of continuing education, has followed it.
