Andrea Aptecker

Andrea Aptecker is a teacher and playwright in Cambridge, MA. Her plays have been performed in theatre festivals in the United States and UK. She was a finalist in the 2023 Gary Garrison Playwriting Award for 10-minute plays (I’m Glad We’re Normal), and a 2022 semifinalist in the Garry Marshall Theater New Works Festival. Andrea received the Audience Favorite Prize in the 2021 Hear Me Out Monologue Competition (It’s Nice to be Out in Society). Her full-length play (Unrequited), which one reviewer called, “lyrical, witty, seductive and dark – and always spellbinding,” is available with Next Stage Press.
