Yefim Somin started his acting career at the age of ten, entertaining nurses while recovering from surgery at a children’s hospital in what was then the Soviet Union. Fifty years later, he returned to acting and has played roles in a variety of films on screen and TV, including opposite Corbin Bernsen. His stage credits include, among others, Shakespeare in English and Russian. His roles ranged from prison janitor to president and from Holocaust survivor to lawyer for Hermann Göring. He also appeared in commercials and live character engagements. Recently, he participated in a number of productions on Zoom.
Besides English and Russian, Yefim acted in German, French and Chinese, and is currently a member of a Boston-area Italian language theater. His interests include travel writing, poetry translation and the study of languages.
