Playwright/Actor (they/them). Maddie “Mad Dog” Kartoz got started on the hard stuff (fantasy) a little early by her Dad, and now here we all are. Steeped in the weird and the wild, a deep-seated love for the natural world and presentiment of the climate crisis guide their writing. She writes things that have happened and things that have not, but always things that are true.
Their work has been developed through BU New Play development programming, Wet Paint Festival, and Playwrights Platform. Her writing has also been published in Flash Fiction Magazine and We/Us: Monologues for the Gender Minority (Smith & Kraus). BU School of Theater ’22, Tidelines Institute ’21.
