Sally Nutt

Sally Nutt has been an actor-in-residence with Playwright’ Platform since 2009 and has read for many of its playwrights at regular meetings, the annual festival and beyond.   Recent acting credits include: THE GHOST SONATA and THE GOOD PERSON OF SETZUAN (Fort Point Theatre Channel); THE GOOD BODY (Hub Theatre Company);  STEEL MAGNOLIAS (Jean’s Playhouse);  OKLAHOMA! (Hackmatack Theatre); QUILLS (Bad Habit Productions), and new plays in NYC’s Unfringed Festival, Fresh-Fruit Festival, and Play Lab.

She’s directed for the North Shore Readers Theatre at the Actors Studio in Newburyport, the New Works Festival at the Firehouse Center for the Arts, Fort Point Theatre Channel at the Boston Theatre Marathon, and for Open Theatre Project at Club Café.  She serves on the artistic board with Boston’s Fort Point Theatre Channel and Newburyport’s New Works Committee at the Firehouse Center for the Arts, and hosts a monthly playwriting group known as The Fardels.  She’s a retired Air Force public affairs officer, and currently works as a standardized patient, teaching communication skills and exam technique through improvised and semi-scripted scenarios to medical students at Tufts, Harvard, and Boston University.
