Ansley (she/her/hers) is a Boston based actor, intimacy director, & fight director. Originally from Nashville, TN, Ansley came to Boston in 2018 to attend Emerson College where she graduated Cum Laude with a BFA in Theatre Education & Performance. Her work is strongly influenced by the connection between the body & the voice, a love for the process of creating new work, and ensuring all spaces she works in are rooted in a culture of consent. She’s had the chance to work in a variety of roles in developing new plays – as an actor (Snatch, One Minute Play Festival, Stalling), a fight director/captain (The Painted Handgun, American Ant Motel), an intimacy director (Intermission, Snatch), an assistant director (Marty and Tad are LIVING!), an assistant dramaturg (Phoenix), a sound designer (The Painted Handgun), and whatever those around her needed to help make the show go on. She would love to cross paths with you & your work at any point in its process.
Some things that bring Ansley joy outside of theatre are hosting dinner parties, spending time outside, listening to audio books, playing board games, journaling, her cat Bonnie, & watercolor painting.
