Alison Wachtler

 

Age Range: Late 30s to 60

Alison has been a professional actress for over 35 years. She has done readings for companies all over New England, New York and the mid-west. In Boston, she recently appeared on stage at The Wilbur Theater in Casey Sherman’s Saints Sinners and Serial Killers.

Originally from New York, Alison has done tours, summer stock, and off Broadway. She has worked with many notable theater directors and playwrights, including Jerry Zaks, David Ives, Jonathan Lipsky, Larry Moss and Errol Hill. She graduated with a theater/writing major Summa Cum Laude from Skidmore College, where she was the recipient of the creative writing award.

Alison has been the leading actress in many films, daytime television, late night comedy, recorded books on tapes and even voiced animated cartoon characters. She also starred in movies of the week and over 100 television commercials. In addition to appearing in a number of independent films, she has had principal roles in feature films like Chappaquiddick and The Congressman. Alison wrote and starred in the comedy short, Chemistry Read, which earned multiple awards including best actress, debut writing, and best comedy in film festivals worldwide.
